Description
This piece was originally created for the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, IL that opened in March of 2011. I was greatly honored to find that the title dedicated to the hanging piece is Salute to the Veterans.
This custom piece focuses on the American flag that overhangs Interstate 55 just north of Lawndale, IL. It was created on a day that was intermixed with storms and rains which add to the idea and symbolism that the troops and the nation have faced many storms in history but despite adversity and the nation pushes forward.
